Artist Statement

Art is an expression, a projection of life - and this is why I create. Our reactions to art say less about the artist’s tastes or techniques and more about our own natures. And while one piece may be specific or personal, all art is mutually interconnected. Because we all are. 

My subject matter is rarely scripted and oftentimes inspired during a moment of clarity. While one collection’s inspiration starts in the stillness of my beloved Virginian horse country, another ends during a midnight tussle with depression in my D.C. basement. My heart flows and my hand follows until the very last stroke, pour, or glaze.
